• Stawicki Runs in the 5’s and makes it to the Semi’s at the Rock

Pro Modified            Veteran Pro Mod racer Mike Stawicki had a successful weekend at the IHRA World Finals in Rockingham, North Carolina this past weekend. Stawicki along with team partner Jim Salemi, owner of G-Force Race Cars Inc., have had a trying 2007 season.  This weekend placed all of the misfortunes behind them. Stawicki says, “I have a lot of great people that support me on this team. Jim Salemi gives me the best ride around. G-Force Race Cars just flat out work. This car really hauls the mail. I also have to thank Darren Mayer from DMPE Inc. and say the ‘M5 is Alive’. We have had an up and down year and to make it to the semi’s today will give us a breath of fresh air we needed for the off-season.”

Stawicki posted a tire shaking back pedaling 6.31 during Friday night qualifying but kept him in the show for the time being. Saturday morning began to show the fruits of labor as the team posted a 6.09 to place them in the 6th spot.  Heading into the final qualifying session, Stawicki blazed the track with a 5.97 @ 233 mph. What was most impressive was the front half incremental’s. A .976 60 ft time led to a 2.59 330 ft time which posted a 3.90 @ 188 mph 1/8 mile time. Crew Chief Jim Salemi stated, “We have been working for this since Indy. It’s not easy when a new power gain is found. You have to learn to get it to the track. It’s all about the combination. I need to make some more runs to get our fuel system correct to match the M5 power curve. I’m confident that we can run with the best in Pro Mod”.

Mike Stawicki            Stawicki’s car was also planted on Mickey Thompson tires. Jon Salemi exclaims, “Carl Robinson of Mickey Thompson tires has been a great friend of ours for a long time. He provided us with a set of tires and we said, ‘now seems like a good time to try them out’ and obviously they are everything he told us they would be. It’s the beginning of a new era for us to try to achieve exposure for a great company and a great individual like Carl.  Hats of to everyone at M/T”.

Stawicki’s day in eliminations started with a win but a problem plagued 6.27, but then posted Low ET for round 2 with a 6.05 win. In the semi final round Stawicki fell to tire shake and watched Kenny Lang speed by for the win. It was the end of an exciting weekend
Mike and his team thank everyone for there support during the 2007 season especially, Mom and Dad, John Cage, and Patricia Moyer.

Stawicki Goes to the Final Round in Budds Creek

Mike Stawicki's new G-Force Race Cars Inc. built 1967 Camaro, with sponsorship from Darren Mayer Performance Engineering Inc, had an awesome outing at the Torco Race Fuels IHRA Presidents Cup Nationals.

Stawicki opened with an impressive 6.13-second run at 229.53 Mph. That led the opening session of qualifying and set the extremely quick pace for the rest of the race. Stawicki's 67 Camaro proceeded to tear through qualifying with consistency in the low 6.teen's. The 6.13 held for #2 qualifying spot and set up a first round match against Burton Auxier and his nitrous injected 53 Corvette. Stawicki stormed to his first round win of the year with a 6.16-second run @ 224.53 mph. That led to the battle of Buffalo, New York against current World Champ Mike Janis. Janis had troubles and Stawicki speed to a 6.18 @ 224.25 Mph. That set up a semi final round match up against Scott Cannon Jr. Stawicki's quick starting line reaction coupled with a 6.20 @ 226.70 gave the Medina, New York native a trip to his first final round. In the final he would face off against newly crowned World Champion Mike Castellana. As the tree dropped, Stawicki gained a huge starting line advantage with a .038 to Castellana's .056. As the cars accelerated away from the starting line, Stawicki went into tire shake and was forced to lift on the throttle as Castellana sped away for the win. Stawicki stated, "I'm thrilled to say the least. This has been one of the best racing weekends of my life. This car that my crew chief Jim Salemi (owner G-Force Race Inc.) built me is absolutely awesome. This is only the beginning of what this team has to offer. I want to thank Darren Mayer (owner of DMPE Inc.) for building an awesome Supercharger for me. Also thanks go out to Matt Wendler and Jon Salemi for maintaining the car at the track. This just makes the trip to Rockingham a little easier. Hopefully we can take all the marbles there".

The next outing for the Stawicki / G-Force Race Cars inc. pro mod team will be at the IHRA World Finals in Rockingham, North Carolina Oct.7-9

Stawicki Takes Best Engineered Pro Car Award at Norwalk

Norwalk , Ohio August 30, 2005

Mike Stawicki's new G-Force Race Cars Inc. built 1967 Camaro was a huge hit at the recent IHRA Skull Gear World Nationals. Although the car did not qualify for the tough 16-car Pro Mod field, it attracted everyone's eye and won “Best Engineered Pro Car”.

Stawicki stated, “It's nice to get the Best Engineered award. It means a lot to us, especially crew chief Jim Salemi, owner of G-Force Race Cars inc. It's a testament to his quality and craftsmanship that he puts into all of his projects. I'm just a little disappointed about the performance of the car. We were down on horsepower big time. I need to find out what the problem is and fix it. This car is great and will be a force in the class. We just need to make some more runs and figure it out”.

Stawicki plans to run the PMRA race at Toronto Motorsports Park this weekend and finish up the season with the IHRA races, Budds Creek and Rockingham. Crew Chief Jim Salemi states, “We are still racing on a tight budget. We have to pick our races in a strategic manner to be able to do this throughout the season. The help we are getting from DMPE Inc. aids us a lot. We thank Darren Mayer tremendously for his support. I'm confident that we will get the car sorted out and you will see some great performances from it. Sometimes good things take a little fine tuning and that's just what we will do”.
